  •    What is a Digital Signature Certificate?
  • Digital signature certificates (DSC) are the digital equivalent (that is electronic format) of physical or paper certificates. Examples of physical certificates are drivers' licenses, passports or membership cards. Certificates serve as a proof of identity of an individual for a certain purpose; for example a driver's license identifies someone who can legally drive in a particular country. Likewise, a digital certificate can be presented electronically to prove your identity, to access information or services on the Internet or to sign certain documents digitally.
  •    Why is Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) required?
  • Like physical documents are signed manually, electronic documents, for example once you are filing the annual returns online, e-forms are required to be signed digitally with the help of Digital Signature Certificate. As per MCA21 project of ministry of company affairs all the company forms have to be filed electronically.
  •    What are the different types of digital signatures commonly used?
  • Class2, Class3, DGFT certificate Where to use a digital signature?
    Class2: Used in MCA/ROC e-Filing, Income Tax e-Filing, EPFO
    Class3: Used for e-Procurement e-Tendering in IRCTC, ONGC etc.
    DGFT Certificates: Used by Exporters/Importers on the DGFT website
  •    Who issues the Digital Signature Certificate?
  • A licensed Certifying Authority (CA) issues the digital signature. Certifying Authority (CA) means a person who has been granted a license to issue a digital signature certificate under Section 24 of the Indian IT-Act 2000. We use Capricorn CA to issue the digital siganture.

  •    Who can apply for digital signature certificate?
  • Any individual can apply to the certifying authority for issue of a DSC in the prescribed form.
  •    Where can I get the application form in SignKaro.com?
  • SignKaro issues paperless digital siganture using your Aadhaar Card or Pan Card. However if you require the organisation dsc then you can download the same from our Repository section.
  •    What are the documents required for applying digital signature certificates?
  • For individual paperless DSC you require only Aadhaar card and PAN card. For organisation dsc you can download the application form and the form contains all required checklist.
  •    What is Aadhaar Paperless offline e-KYC?
  • It is a secure sharable document which can be used by any Aadhaar number holder for offline verification of Identification
  •    How safe to share the Aadhar Details with SignKaro?
  • You do not need to share any Aadhaar details with SignKaro. You can generate the offline aadhar eKayc by yourself. Please visti https://resident.uidai.gov.in/offline-kyc for Offline Aadhaar generation
  •   Should I apply for new or renewal certificates?
  • Currently there is no subscription model available for Digital Sigantures. So once the digital signature is expired then you need to applly fresh always. However you can use the same USB eToken if the CSP complaiance is not changed.
  •    I already have an existing certificate from a different Certifying Authority. Can I apply for a renewal through SignKaro.com?
  • Sure! Since there is no subscription model you will be free to take the dsc from any where once your dsc is expired.
  •    Does SignKaro.com issue PAN Based digital signature certificate?
  • Yes! We issue PAN based paperless digital siganture. For this you require your pan number to be submitted and complete the video verficiation and upload the docs. The dsc will be issued immedialty once the validation is done.
  •    How much time do you require to issue a digital signature certificate?
  • All the paperless digital signature will be issued within 20 mintues after submission of the enrollment and the validation on the same day. For paperbased organisation certificate will be issued on the same day upon receipt of the hard copy of the application form and the required attested documents.
  •    I have already send the scanned copy of the documents. Do I need to send the hard copies also?
  • Yes. Scanned copies can be used only for pre-verification of documents for the organizationals dsc. We require Hard copies for issuance of the certificate as per new CCA guidelines.
  •    Do you charge for after sales support for digital signature installation and process in various web portals?
